Draft the hold notices, custodian register, and preservation plan from the matter trigger.
Subject matter, date range, and issues are drawn from the trigger document and cited to it. What was deliberately left out is recorded with the reason, so the scope call can be defended later rather than reconstructed.
Custodians come from your org data, tiered key, secondary, and IT, each with a cited reason for being in scope. A name that appears in the complaint but cannot be confirmed goes to open items instead of onto the list.
The register ships with its status columns empty and the plan says what it does not cover. Nothing is sent, nothing is preserved, and no claim is made that the hold is defensible.
